CenturyLink's award-winning Teachers & Technology grant program identifies, highlights and recognizes Colorado K-12 teachers who are using technology in the classroom in new and innovative ways. As the program enters its ninth year in Colorado, more than $1 million have been granted to teachers across the state and nearly 50,000 students have been impacted.

Innovative Education 2015 InnEdCo Conference Stipend
Innovative Education Special Project Grants 2015-16


Innovative Education Grants, funded by InnEdCo (formerly TIE Colorado), is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for two different grant opportunities for Colorado educators:
  1. Need-based stipends to attend the InnEdCo ConferenceJune 23-25, 2015 at Keystone Resort - The stipends will cover conference registration and provide $400 towards accommodations and other expenses. Qualified educators must be certified teachers. Administrators need not apply. They must demonstrate: financial need or other hardship, have a focus for their learning that will impact their classroom and/or school, and be willing to share their learning with others in their organization. Administrator support is also required. Application deadline is midnight Dec 15.
  2. 2015-16 Special Project Grants to improve student achievement through the integration of technology into K-12 classrooms, a school, or district - Applicants could include Classroom Teachers, Information Technology, Media, and Library specialists, etc. Teams are encouraged to apply. They could consist of other specialty areas, i.e. gifted and talented, STEM, STEAM, literacy, the arts, etc. Grants will be awarded in the amount of $500 to $2,500. Application deadline is midnight Jan 31.

The Hour of Code, is during Computer Science Education Week Dec. 8-14 2014. 

It is a one-hour coding activity where students choose from self-guided tutorials.  The Hour of Code is designed to demystify code and show that anybody can learn the basics

What is GTA ( Google Teacher Academy )?
The Google Teacher Academy (GTA) is a free professional development experience designed to help primary and secondary educators from around the globe get the most from innovative technologies. Each GTA is an intensive, two-day event during which participants get hands-on experience with Google tools, learn about innovative instructional strategies, receive resources to share with colleagues, and immerse themselves in a supportive community of educators making impact.
