Email Etiquette

Reply Versus Reply All: You have two (2) options for replying to email messages in Google mail. Reply and Reply All. The difference can be confusing. 

REPLY sends a return message to the original sender of the email. 

REPLY ALL sends a return message to everyone that received the original message whether they were copied (CC) on the email or even blind copied (BCC) on the original message. 

In general, we recommend that you not use REPLY ALL to reply to email messages unless you are absolutely sure you know everyone wants to get that message.

3D Printing

Did you know? A great way to introduce students to STEM principles is to have them start designing their own 3D objects.
RESOURCES: TinkerCad is a free 3D design site that has tutorials and allows students to quickly start designing their own projects.  In addition, SouthGlenn Library has a 3D printer and accepts original 3D designed objects that they will print for you. The LPS Instructional Technology team is piloting to print 3D original projects with two of our elementary buildings and hope to expand to all elementary buildings in the future. Stay tuned for more details. 

Google Forms: Responses can now Upload Files

GAFE: Google Apps For Education has been renamed G Suite 

New Google Forms Feature Google forms now has a “File upload” question type. 

Your respondents can now upload files from their computer or Drive — all of which are neatly collected for you in a new Drive folder. Note: When using your LPS email, this feature is only available for students and teachers inside LPS .org and .us accounts. Check out other updates here
