EdCamp Colorado Springs invites all educators to participate in their fourth annual EdCamp on January 27, 2018. EdCamp is a free "un-conference" for educators by educators to share ideas, network and collaborate. It's also an innovative way to empower attendees in a participant-driven professional learning event where they are the stars! Sessions are determined by participants and you decide what is most relevant to you. It's all about educator voice and choice! Visit their official event Website for more information regarding the agenda for the day.
* Light refreshments will be available in the morning.

Student Awareness of their Progress
Kanbanchi is a visual tool that allows students to see how far along they and their fellow students are in completing a task. Students are able to drag their name along the tasks created by the teacher to show where they are in the process. This is a visual way for students to see how much they have accomplished and how much more of the project is left to complete.

Additional classroom examples will be shared in the Jan. Newsletter.

New Google Calendar
Many of you are getting messages about trying the new Google Calendar. Eventually it will automatically become the regular calendar. One feature some of you might like is that they've finally added a basic text editor to the create event box. Among other things, this means you can now add links to the description box without having to type html code (<a href=".... etc.). Instead, there's the typical link icon that you can click on and paste the link in. For those of you who paste links to your agendas or other documents, this might be a nice new feature.
